Elche is the capital of the El Baix district and the Valencian regions third largest city in terms of population. Elche had its original location at L'Alcudia where the bust of the Lady of Elche was found, however the Moors moved the city to its current position, surrounded by groves of palm trees. Today over 300,000 officially protected palm trees in the city lend it a somewhat exotic air. These palms are evident on every street corner and can be especially enjoyed in the well-tended city park and just a short walk away in the Huerto del Cura (Priest's Garden), where a palm in the form of a seven-armed candelabra is a good example of the freaks of nature.

In the historical, old section of the city amongst the most interesting sights are the Altamira Palace, the Basilica of Santa Maria, the Moorish fortress and the Moorish Baths.

Catral is a small town in the heart of the Vega Baja. The fertile lands around Catral mean that the area relies largely on agriculture for its subsistence. The Hondon Reservoir is nearby and there are various trails that lead to it, allowing enjoyable walks through the countryside. Catral has many tapas bars, restaurants, schools, shops and beautiful parks. It even hosts a hot air balloon ride which is a spectacular trip. Catral has a small weekly market held on a Saturday where you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes, shoes and flowers.

The villa sits on a plot of 2000m2, so it is a very large area for families to spread out. There is a 400m2 patio tiled area for sunbathing and playing games. There are sun loungers/seats for the sole use of the tenants. The private pool is 10 metre x 5 metre wide with roman steps. It is elevated out of the ground. There is a 6 feet sunbathing area all the way around the pool. It has an outside shower. There is a BBQ with utensils for the tenants use. The gates are electronic which are controlled by a fob. All the windows and doors have strengthened steel grills. There is adequate parking for up to 8 vehicles behind the villa which are out of sight of the relaxing area, Two large sun terraces and one covered terrace with tables and chairs for dining al fresco.
