There are two cities within 40 minutes drive - Alicante to the north is one of the most well known towns along the Costa Blanca, with it's wonderful boulevard, with palm trees and long alleys for nice relaxing walks and shopping. Alicante is starting point for thousands of tourists every year. Famous for its excellent weather, miles of sandy beaches and with many historical buildings around the entire city. Alicante offers countless sightseeing attractions, from cathedrals to churches and of course a wonderful harbour area. The city invites you to take a trip along the coast or to the wonderful island of Tabarca. The town of Torrevieja itself is just 15 minutes drive away, with Guardamar and Ciudad Quesada even nearer. On site there is the new Vistabella golf course the construction of this beautiful golf course is one of the best kept secrets on the golfing Costa Blanca. The golf course was officially open in September 2009 with a competition for invited guests followed by a golf clinic given by course designer and former Ryder Cup player Manuel Pinero. The course has a par of 73 measuring 6,193 metres off the white tees and 5,844 metres off the visitors yellow tees and is set in beautiful and natural surroundings close to the towns of Montesinos and Jacarilla.
The Vistabella golf course is located only 12 km from the beaches of Torrevieja and only 3km from exit 751 (Montesinos) of the AP7 motorway and therefore has excellent links to both Alicante and Murcia airports.
Market day is on Wednesday in San Miguel de Salinas. You will find plenty of bargains, including local hand made gifts, leather, clothing, fruit and vegetables.
