The coast is  within 15 minutes by car. The nearest beaches are at Guardamar del Segura and La Marina. Slightly further away is Santa Pola. In season lifeguards of the Red Cross patrol the beaches on shore and offshore. Both Guardamar and Santa Pola are quite large resorts, which have retained their character. Guardamar, in particular, is well worth a visit for its abundance of restaurants and the Queen Sofia park with its play area and wildlife and the evening funfair alongside.

There are several championship courses within a short drive from the villa. The closest is La Finca at Algorfa, about 10 minutes away. Near to there is a 9 hole course at Greenland’s and next to the town of Quesada is La Marquesa. A further 20 minutes away are the courses at Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor.

Situated between the typical Spanish towns of San Fulgencio and Dolores. This villa with a 8 x 4m private pool is surrounded by a large terrace with sun beds, tables and chairs. A second more secluded terrace is at the rear of the villa. The large garden has mature plants and shrubs and there is secure parking for several vehicles. The use of a car is advisable, Dolores is a 5 minute drive or you can walk and has numerous tapas bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

Dolores at 1 mile is the nearest town. Catral is slightly further away. Both have an abundance of tapas bars (a few British owned), restaurants, shops, supermarkets and cafes in the Church square for people watching. Both have weekly street markets as do most of the nearby towns. Footwear is the best buy as this is the main local industry. About 9km away is the railway at San Isidro giving access to Alicante and Murcia. A cheap way to visit these historic cities without the hassle of parking.

This is not the location for anyone wanting an action packed, hectic holiday with lots of nightlife. It is somewhere to enjoy a quiet break but with all necessary facilities close to hand, or to use the villa as a base to explore this interesting and historic part of Spain. There is a varied selection of places to eat. Be adventurous and follow the locals for a menu del dia, 3 courses with wine/beer for 8 euros. Benidorm with The Palace for shows or Terra Mitica theme park is an hour away. At Quesada is Aqua park to keep the youngsters occupied. If you want a change from the beaches, head inland to the Mountain Park in Sierra De Crevillente and its marked trails. Or just outside Dolores are stables for those who enjoy riding. There are lots of activities and places of interest to see interspersed with days chilling out by the pool with a good book and a cold drink!

The property is a new villa built in 2002 on a 1000 sq metre plot, away from main roads on a small development of 8 detached villas fitted with air-conditioning in all bedrooms an alarm system. Set in its own grounds with perimeter wall and fencing. Accessed by lockable double wrought iron gates.

In common with most properties in this area, the villa is accessed via 5 steps, thereafter everything is on one level.

Outside there is a BBQ, sun beds and parasols, tables and chairs for alfresco dining. There is secure parking for several cars. There are numerous terraces and patios for sun bathing as well as several shaded areas. The villa stands on a plot of approx. 1000sqm. It is fully fenced and very private. There are a variety of mature palms, fruit trees shrubs and plants. The villa includes a gated raised patio with inset pool 8m x 4m approx. 0.8m at shallow end and 1.80m at deep end, is in full sun all day. With abundant space for sun beds and chairs, covered terrace with eating area and barbecue gravelled area all round the villa.

From the large sun terrace, which also gives uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside and the mountains of Callosa and Sierra de Crevillente. As well as countless areas for sitting in the sun, there are plenty of places to sit quietly in the shade.
