GRAN ALACANT

Gran Alacant is a mainly residential area just a few miles south of Alicante and just to the north of the traditional Spanish seaside town of Santa Pola. Nestling in the hills above Alicante Bay, there are stunning views across to the city and the castle of Santa Barbara and northwards to the Crevillente Mountains. The few miles distance to the airport make Gran Alacant a particularly good place to stay as you can be in your holiday rental accommodation in less than an hour from landing and, because it is not on the flight path, there is no aircraft noise. Gran Alacant is convenient for Benidorm, Terra Mitica and the North Costa Blanca Spain- making it a very popular resort town. There is plenty to do for both golfers and non golfers alike, with beaches, water sports, Safari Park, horse riding, shopping and general sightseeing all close by. There are four cities within an hours drive - Alicante to the north, Elche to the north west, Murcia to the west and Cartegena to the south and two major international airports close by - Alicante within 10 minute drive and Murcia San Javia within 40 minutes drive. 6 championship Golf Courses within 25 minutes drive from this property. The unspoilt and beautiful beaches of Gran Alacant are within a 5-minute drive from this property. This is an area where there is plenty to do with beaches, water sports, Safari Park, horse riding, shopping and general sightseeing all close by. Only 15 minute drive to the city of Elche and Alicante. Bounded by the beautiful Mediterranean on one side and thousands of acres of fruit groves inland. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and within moments you can be driving in picturesque open countryside, where you can stop and pick a fresh orange or lemon and enjoy the fabulous bounty that nature has gifted to this part of the world.

There are 5 good quality supermarkets all are less than 5 minutes drive from the property, some within walking distance, as are a number of restaurants and bars.
The apartment has two bedrooms one 5ft double and 2 single beds. A balcony at the front of the property has the sunshine early morning, by lunchtime it is in the shade, so you can enjoy lunch in the cool. If you like sunshine all day then there is an upstairs sun terrace with beautiful views of the nature reserve, and pools. It is equipped with table and chairs parasol, barbecue, and shower, if you don’t want to use the pool. It also has mains electricity so you can have music as you relax!!
Inside the kitchen has a washing machine fridge freezer and the all important dishwasher. In the lounge you have a TV and DVD player, there are a selection of DVD's for your use. The bars and restaurants are a short walk from the apartment, and the beautiful sandy beach is just a little bit further on. There is an excellent bus service if you wish to investigate further out. Alicante is a lovely town especially the harbour area which has amazing fish restaurants, you also have Santa Pola with a long beach front with bars and restaurants and lovely town square to sit and watch the world go by, and Torrevieja is well worth a visit.
Transfers from the airport can be arranged and you will be shown the local amenities on route, as well as being taken to the apartment. All bed linen and towels are supplied.
Close by and well within five minutes walk, you will find Supermarket, Restaurants where you can find English and Spanish cuisine. There are bars on hand for that pre and after dinner drinks with some offering nightly entertainment. And 5 minute drive there is the G.A commercial centre there are three large Supermarkets and several bars some offering nigh time entertainment, restaurants, and shops. A popular local market is held on Thursdays - again within 10 minute walk of this property, which is great for all those holiday souvenirs and presents for the family. Spend the morning strolling past the stalls, stop for the odd refreshment or two and then buy a roasted chicken from the stall and venture back home for lunch.
The location of this property is perfect for a great family holiday or for golfing breaks. And within a 5 minute drive you have the choice of some of the finest beaches on the Costa Blanca.
